As stated in the book, "Oh, the Places You'll Go!" by Dr. Seuss, our Preschool is literally experiencing the opening text of "Congratulations! Today is your day. You're off to Great Places! You're off and away!" as their formal educational journey has officially begun!
When you walk into our Preschool room, you are immediately greeted by bright and vibrant colors that invite our youngest students into an exciting world of learning.
Utilizing "Zoo Phonics" curriculum, a multisensory Language Arts program that utilizes animal friends as helpful cues and reminders, our Preschoolers have begun learning and mastering letter identification.
Geo Boards have provided a fun avenue to learn patterns and shapes this October, while their current science curriculum has been focusing on pumpkins. A field trip to Spicer's Cider Mill was a delicious way to help reinforce these lessons, too!
During religion, our Preschoolers have been making weekly entries into their personal faith journals, which will make wonderful spiritual keepsakes at the end of the year. This week, they traced their feet as a reminder that Jesus is with them wherever they go. This month, they are also learning about Biblical heroes, such as Moses, and learning that just as God helped these heroes of the Old Testament, he also helps us every day as well.
Our Preschoolers are also preparing for a very special "Dad's Day" celebration, which will be held on November 22nd. During this very special event, our Preschoolers will "give thanks" and honor God for their dads with special activities throughout the day.
Dr. Seuss' famous quote really sums up our Preschool program... "Today was good, today was fun. Tomorrow is another one!”
