"Every good and perfect gift is from above.” James 1:17
Currently, a great bulletin board is located in the 100 wing that states, “We’re Not Lucky, We’re Blessed!” This message is such a great reminder that each day it’s not luck but actually the Lord who showers us with abundant blessings.
One significant blessing that God recently gave to St. Matthew Lutheran School this school year is the gift of nine brand new SMART Boards! We are amazed at the technological advancements these new interactive boards offer, as compared to our prior and much older boards. In addition, we are thrilled for the potential that these new boards present regarding student learning and engagement, as we strive to prepare our students to be highly competent and efficient 21st century learners.
Adding to the list of blessings is the fact that all boards arrived in time to be installed during our Winter Break, when the building was totally empty. Now, all we need is to provide proper training for our teachers as they learn how to effectively maximize the educational potential of these new boards!
If you recall, we had a half-day for professional development for SMART Board training scheduled on October 15th that we ended up cancelling because the SMART Boards had not yet arrived. At that time, we stated that we would need to reschedule this professional development for a future date once the new SMART Boards were installed.
Now that all boards are fully functional, we have received the date of Thursday, April 14th, for a full day of training so that teachers can learn as much as possible before the end of this school year. As a result, our Easter Break will now be extended by one day, thus starting on April 14th with school resuming as planned on Tuesday, April 19.
Scripture states in James 1:17 that “every good and perfect gift is from above”, and we are so grateful to God for this amazing gift!
In Jesus Love,
